A Deckenfeiertag is a kind of ‘island in time’ in daily life, a brief adventure one never forgets. It is a day to celebrate the courage to meet new people. We live in the same place and yet so many worlds remain hidden from us, even though they may only be one door away! The Deckenfeiertag is the magical place of chaos where these worlds can find one another and where we can listen to each other. After all, everyone has something interesting to say. This empathy is just one of the strengths that we wish to bring into the struggle we share in our lives. At best, we would like to courageously display our personal aims and limitations, since it is impossible to find valid solutions and conclusive answers for all people. Collaborative design means that in negotiating our way through conflicting goals and needs, we constantly adapt the crutches and aids we require for a fairer dispute involving many voices.
